Risk of data breach: BackupAssist Cloud Backups are encrypted locally before being uploaded, so your data is confidential from the moment it leaves your computer. Even if you use a 3rd party to copy across your backup data from one cloud to another, all that 3rd party would see is encrypted data.
Risk of losing existing backups: There’s no chance of losing any of your existing backups because migrating your data is a read-only operation for your existing cloud. That is – it’s non-destructive. Moving to a new provider is a Make-Before-Break process; only delete your data from your old cloud after you’re happy that your new provider is working properly.
The switch itself is pain-Free – BackupAssist makes it easy to re-direct your backup jobs to use the new cloud storage. Once you’ve copied the data across from old to new cloud, simply edit the settings for your backup job to point to the new location.
